What is VIA3?
VIA3 is a software application that lets you meet and exchange information securely with coworkers, vendors, and outside organizations online and in real time. With VIA3, you can share applications and jointly edit documents or, create and modify graphics, use whiteboards, participate in group text chat and instant messaging, and bring anything that resides on your computer such as a spreadsheet or web page into a live online meeting. VIA3 includes all this plus integrated live video and audio in one easy-to-use, totally secure service.

How does VIA3 work?
VIA3 is a client/server application that provides a real-time collaboration solution complete with online workspaces for secure information exchange. It is available as a managed or on-premises service. With its browser-based access, VIA3 ensures users always receive the latest version of the software when it becomes available.
How is VIA3 different from other solutions?
VIA3 has a number of important advantages. First, it is the only wholly secure solution, with complete, always-on protection for every meeting component, including data, voice, and video. Security is an afterthought for other services, with a predictable downside: their add-on precautions can hamper performance and leave unprotected gaps. And—imperfect as it is—their security will usually cost you extra.

Is VIA3 really secure?
Yes! In fact, of all the available online meeting services, VIA3 is the only one that is wholly secure. Everything in your meeting — data, audio, instant messaging and video — is encrypted at your desktop using the most advanced industry standard. And with VIA3, your information always stays encrypted, to keep it locked tight against any unauthorized intrusion.
As further testament to VIACK's commitment to absolute security and protection of information, the VIA3 cryptographic module has been certified to meet Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 1, a government standard for cryptographic module security requirements as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
How many people can I meet with at one time in VIA3?
VIA3 does not physically limit the number of people you can meet with, but the way you use the service will impact the quality of your meeting. While online meetings that involve text messages consume very little resources, the audio, video, live view and application sharing features require more bandwidth. Ultimately, the quality and speed of your Internet connection will determine how many people you can effectively meet with online at one time. VIA3 supports large scale meetings with the capability to invite up to 1,000 audience members in a single meeting.
How do I organize a scheduled meeting in VIA3?
VIA3 lets you schedule meetings using Microsoft® Outlook®. You can specify whether participants can use all the VIA3 features for a truly collaborative session or limit their access when presenting to a large audience or when bandwidth may be limited. Links to VIA3 workspaces needed for the meeting can also be included with the meeting request. VIA3 generated Meeting ID's and passwords help to ensure your information remains secure.
I want to meet with someone who hasn't installed VIA3 yet. What do they need to meet with me?
In order to attend a VIA3 online meeting, every participant must have access to VIA3. The meeting organizer invites attendees, who do not have VIA3 installed yet, by sending them an e-mail invitation with a VIA3 meeting ID, password and simple instructions on how to join the meeting. These attendees will have access to VIA3 features for the duration of the meeting. To continue to access VIA3 or be added to your contact list, the attendee must become a registered VIA3 user. Meeting attendees can be from within your organization or outside. The organizer of the VIA3 meeting must have enough seats to account for everyone attending the meeting. What types of support services are available, if I become a VIACK client?

What are the system requirements to use VIA3?
VIA3 uses the facilities you already have, including your computer and Internet connection. For good performance, a 128Kbps Internet connection is recommended. To utilize our real-time video, application sharing or live view features, we recommend a connection speed of at least 256Kbps or higher (T1/Cable Modem/DSL). Test the speed of your Internet connection.

What does "firewall friendly" mean?
With VIA3, no changes to your organization's firewall are required. VIA3 automatically optimizes communication to use preferred industry-standard ports, while maintaining complete security and privacy for your Internet business communications. You can install and use VIA3 without needing additional help from your IT organization.
How can I buy VIA3?

Who pays for the online meeting in VIA3?
VIA3 is offered through concurrent seat licensing. The VIA3 user who initiates the session must have enough licenses to account for everyone attending the meeting. All other meeting participants are not charged.
How do I upgrade to the latest version of VIA3 if I am currently using an older version?
VIA3 users automatically receive the latest version of the software each time they log on to the system.
